Edwards Leads Workshops and Masterclasses Throughout the U.S.

In February, Director of Musical Theatre, Associate Professor of Voice, Coordinator of Musical Theatre Voice and Artistic Director of the CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute Matthew Edwards ’15, D.M.A, taught a musical theatre workshop at Memorial University of Newfoundland (St. John’s Newfoundland), and served as a special guest speaker at the Vocal Arts & Science Symposium at the University of Southern Mississippi. He also appeared as a guest on the VocalFri podcast discussing Shenandoah Conservatory’s musical theatre and voice pedagogy programs.

In March, Edwards taught masterclasses for the Eastern Region and Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). He also taught a four-day teacher training workshop for Cascade NATS in Portland, Oregon.

In April, Edwards taught a pop/rock workshop for Webster Conservatory’s musical theatre program in St. Louis, Missouri, a vocal health and pop/rock technique workshop for the U.S. Navy Sea Chanters (Washington, D.C.) and a workshop in celebration of World Voice Day for NATS – New York City.
