Romine Releases Book on Extended Technique for Bassoon

After two years of work stemming from his 2017 sabbatical, Assistant Dean for Recruitment and Associate Professor of Bassoon Ryan Romine, D.M.A., released “Bassoon Reimagined: An Extended Technique Sourcebook for Performers and Composers” this summer. The book is an encyclopedia of non-standard bassoon sounds combined with 32 character studies to demonstrate those sounds.
