Fisher-Burke Appointed Director of Advising for Shenandoah Conservatory

Shenandoah Conservatory is pleased to announce that Sarah Fisher-Burke has moved into a new role effective immediately; she is now director of advising for Shenandoah Conservatory. In this role she oversees undergraduate and graduate student advising, ensuring that students are provided quality academic support and awareness of relevant resources.

Fisher-Burke is facilitating undergraduate-related issues (from first-time registration through graduation), including maintaining student records, communication, curriculum changes, registration issues, audits and transcript analysis. She is also overseeing the parallel graduate processes (including diagnostic exams). She remains a point person for advisor training and serves on both the Conservatory Advising Board and on the university-wide advising committee.

This increased role is in recognition of her skills and knowledge of the conservatory’s complex curricula, and the conservatory’s increasing need for emphasis on advising and ensuring quality student processes relating to academic support. Please join the conservatory in thanking Sarah Fisher-Burke for her past work and supporting her in this enlarged role.
