(SU)PERcussion Day Celebrates Successful Day of Clinics, Concerts and More

(SU)PERcussion Day was held on Sunday, Feb. 23, in Armstrong Concert Hall and welcomed a large group of high school and middle school percussionists who enjoyed a full day of percussion clinics and a concert by the (SU)PERcussion Ensemble. The day began with the internationally acclaimed virtuoso marimbist William Moersch followed by clinics with Adjunct Associate Professor of Jazz Percussion Alphonso Young, M.M., and Professor of Percussion Earl Yowell, M.M. The culminating concert featured the (SU)PERcussion Ensemble and the event’s participants in an exciting performance of Edgar Winter’s “Frankenstein.”
