The Shepherd University Foundation has created a scholarship called Tiffany E. Lawrence, D.E.L. Scholarship, named after Tiffany Lawrence (B ’06), that will be awarded to incoming freshmen from Jefferson County who are pursuing a major in the College of Business.

Christopher Clark (B ’10) celebrated his tenth year in law enforcement and was promoted to homicide detective at North Port Police Department in North Port, Florida.
Schyler Conaway (C ’11) was in an episode of the NBC television show “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit;” he was in Season 21, Episode 17: “Dance, Lies and Videotape.”
Thomas Graham (C ’12) was named the front of house sound engineer for country music star and former Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival Grand Marshal, Scotty McCreery. Grahamis also engaged to be married in September 2020. (Pictured to the left.)

In Memoriam
Cephe Fahnestock Place (B ’90), of Frederick County, Virginia, passed away on Feb. 28, 2020. Cephe was a member of the Sunnyside Presbyterian Church in Winchester, Virginia, where she was an elder, newsletter editor and served on the Spiritual Development Committee. She had a varied professional career and was a producer and director of the Handley Library Children’s Theatre for 25 years, served as the resident director of Front Royal Little Theatre for seven years; director of the Blue Ridge Players for four years and taught at First Step and Shalom; and for Frederick County public schools. In 2019 she authored and published an Amazon Kindle e-book, “Willa Cather-Sapphira and the Slave girl.” She is survived by her sons, three grandchildren and siblings.
Michael Hetrick (AS ’07), of Williamsport, Maryland, passed away on March 25, 2020. He was a former Washington County Sheriff Deputy and was a real estate agent at the time of his passing. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and listening to country music. He is survived by his wife, two sons, his grandparents, and many extended family members.
