Spice Awarded RedNet Advanced Certification

Earlier this month, Assistant Professor of Music Production & Recording Technology Graham Spice, M.S., was awarded RedNet Advanced certification by Focusrite Pro. This certification is only available to select members of the audio community and this is the first time the company has offered this training.

According to Focusrite, the advanced program included an “expanded breakdown of internal product function of Red, RedNet and ISA solutions; a deep dive into RedNet Control, a powerful software that controls the RedNet ecosystem and an expanded look at Core training principles.” Key benefits of the certification include credibility, confidence and exclusive access for its participants.

“With audio-over-IP being adopted into every facet of the professional audio industry, the next generation of audio engineers needs a solid grounding in modern networked audio,” said Spice. “Focusrite’s audio-over-IP products are based on the industry-standard Dante network technology, making them the perfect choice for use in an educational facility. Shenandoah University already owns a few pieces of RedNet equipment that help us connect performance spaces across campus like Goodson Chapel – Recital Hall and Armstrong Hall to our recording studios in Ruebush Hall. Becoming RedNet Certified allows me to teach our students with the confidence that I am knowledgeable about their products and use cases.”
