Devlin ’17 Awarded Full Scholarship to Complete Ph.D. at Aalborg University

Adjunct Assistant Professor of Music Therapy Kerry Devlin ’17, M.M.T., MT-BC, received a full scholarship from Aalborg University in Denmark to complete her Ph.D. She will focus her research on clinical decision-making as it relates to work with children with autism.

“This is a really significant accomplishment as Aalborg is one of the premier Ph.D. programs for music therapy in Europe,” said Director of Music Therapy Studies, Coordinator of Graduate Music Therapy and Associate Professor of Music Therapy Anthony Meadows, Ph.D.

In the Aalborg program, students attend intensive retreats twice a year, with the rest of the work undertaken at distance. Devlin will continue teaching undergraduate courses at Shenandoah University while pursuing this special opportunity.
