A Place To Be’s Director of Medical Music Therapy Ray Leone ’17, MT-BC, (Master of Music Therapy), critical care nurse specialist Amanda Golino MSN, RN, CCRN, and the research team at INOVA Loudoun had their latest intensive care unit (ICU) music therapy study accepted for publication in the American Journal of Critical Care.

“The INOVA team, led by Ray and Amanda, has published two important studies examining the benefits of music therapy in the ICU, helping to advance the field and expand music therapy services in the INOVA Health System, said Director of Music Therapy Studies, Coordinator of Graduate Music Therapy and Associate Professor of Music Therapy Anthony Meadows, Ph.D., MT-BC. “I am especially grateful, too, for the ongoing collaboration of Department Chair and Professor of Public Health Audra Gollenberg, Ph.D., who has been involved in a number of student and faculty research projects, including the two ICU studies published by Ray, Amanda and the team.”
