Associate Professor of Music Theory and Embedded Music Theory Tutor Coordinator Rachel Short, Ph.D., participated in WORD – MUSIC – IMAGE: Collaborative Interpretations of Multimodal Expression in Popular Music Video, a collaborative research presentation for the international group British Audiovisual Research Network on Thursday, March 9. She focused her analysis on strategic uses of color and types of choreography, exploring diegetic, non-diegetic and performative movement styles, and when the videography alternated between them.
