Brown ’17 Wins 2nd Bassoon Position with West Point Band

Bassoonist Garrett Brown ’17 (Bachelor of Music in Music Education) won an audition for the 2nd bassoon position with the West Point Band for the United States Army in March 2023. Before accepting this position, Brown was a bassoonist with the United States Air Force (USAF) Band of Mid-America just outside of St. Louis, Missouri. During his time as a member of the band, he toured the surrounding area, played ceremonies and did recording projects.
