Esports Hosts Virginia High School League Esports Championship, Dec. 16

20 Teams Compete In Three Game Categories

The Shenandoah University Esports program hosted the Virginia High School League (VHSL) Fall 2023 Esports Championship on Dec. 16 at the Esports Arena on the main campus. Twenty teams from high schools across Virginia participated in the tournament. Participating schools competed in League of Legends, Super Smash Bros., and Rocket League game categories.

Tournament winners were Centreville High School (Centreville, Virginia) for the League of Legends category; Freedom High School (South Riding, Virginia) for the Super Smash Bros. category; and Woodson High School (Fairfax, Virginia) for the Rocket League category.
