Research by Short Published in Music Theory Online, Presented at SMT’s National Conference

The academic article, “Three Sailors, Three Personalities: Choreomusical Analysis of the Solo Variations in ‘Fancy Free’” written by Associate Professor of Music Theory and Embedded Music Theory Tutor Coordinator Rachel Short, Ph.D., was recently published in Music Theory Online, a blind peer-reviewed, open access online journal.

Dr. Short will also present at the upcoming Society for Music Theory’s National Conference from Nov. 7, through Nov. 10, in Jacksonville, Florida. Her research poster, “Analyzing Listening as Inclusive Musical Analysis,” will be part of the Public Music Theory Poster Exhibit.
