Shenandoah Esports Nominated for Top Awards

Program Receives Nods in Several Categories

Shenandoah Esports and its staff/faculty are finalists for multiple Scholastic Esports Awards. These awards are becoming the standard for esports awards in the scholastic space.

The categories for which Shenandoah made the finals are Program of the Year, Production Team of the Year, Educator of the Year (both esports lecturers Zander Merle-Smith and Chase Neukam), Director of the Year (Alyssa Duran) and Game Changer of the Year (Neukam).

“I am proud of the work that our students, staff, and faculty put in on a daily basis to create opportunities and positive change in our esports ecosystem,” said Shenandoah Esports Director Alyssa Duran. “It is icing on the cake that these initiatives have been recognized with finalist positions in the Scholastic Esports Awards. Shenandoah Esports truly is a community and we are thankful to be recognized for those efforts.”

Information about all of the finalists is available at https://scholasticesportsawards.com/collegiate.html and you can vote once a day for your favorite finalists on the site as well, through Sunday, Dec. 15.

The awards will be presented Jan. 11-12, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio.
