December 2024 Class Notes

On Nov. 24, Gabriel Ruiz-Bernal’s (C ’94) Magnificat was performed by Camerata California, under the baton of Maestro Pete Nowlen in Sacramento, California.  

Daniel SmithOn Dec. 9, Daniel Smith (EL ’05) became the Superintendent of Loudoun County Public Schools. (pictured to the left)

On Nov. 1, Nathan Fewell (B ’08) was promoted to director of distribution design at Rappahannock Electric Cooperative.

Ruthie Wienk (EL ’10) co-wrote the book entitled “Redemptive Service: Loving Our Neighbors Well.”  

Michael Christie (C ’17) joined the Zydeco Experience band playing the trumpet.

On Nov. 2, Josh Frey (C ’19, 20) married Avery Apgar (C, AS ’20) at Fox Meadow Barn in Winchester, Virginia.

“The Outsiders” an album featuring Brody Grant (C ’21) and the original Broadway cast of the Tony Award-winning musical, was nominated for a Grammy in the category of Best Musical Theater Album.

On Nov. 10, it was announced that Connor Kabat (C ’23) will join the cast of the national tour of “How The Grinch Stole Christmas.”

Azaria RubioAzaria Rubio (C ’23) served as assistant costume supervisor for the “Christmas Spectacular” starring the Radio City Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. (pictured to the right)

DB Bonds (C ’24) is the associate director of the new Broadway production, “Boop! The Musical.”

Sarah McCown (C ’24) won a national tour with Crossroads Live, a full-service theatrical proudction company.

Matthew Neal (C ’24) is a monitor engineer for Kim Walker-Smith’s Tour. 

Jane Lynch and Kate Flannery (ANG) toured this holiday season in “A Swingin’ Little Christmas.”

Madeline Price (ANG) is the assistant women’s lacrosse coach at the Delaware State University in Dover, Delaware.
