Maloney ’17 Performs in Tour of Cirque du Soleil’s ‘OVO’

Dani Maloney ’17 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance) is a touring member of Cirque du Soleil’s show “OVO,” which has been her dream job since she was little. The first leg of the tour included performances in Wichita, Kansas; Hoffman Estates, Illinois; St. Catharines, Ontario; Windsor, Ontario; Kingston, Ontario; Hartford Connecticut; New York City; Hershey, Pennsylvania; State College, Pennsylvania; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Maloney was featured as a local spotlight in the article, “Pennsylvania native in Cirque du Soleil show coming to Wilkes-Barre Twp.” by The Times Tribune. Auxiliary Adjunct Assistant Professor of Dance Tiffanie Carson, M.F.A., attended one of Maloney’s performances as the tour traveled through Pennsylvania.

Maloney is also the artistic director and founder of Dani Maloney Dance, a Las Vegas-based nonprofit dance company that produces both live performances and films. Follow Maloney on Instagram @danimaloney to follow her adventures.
