Amanda Reid

Amanda Reid ’27 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre) will make her Broadway debut in the lead role of Ali in the award-winning musical “Hell’s Kitchen” beginning May 27, at Schubert Theatre. Reid succeeds the original star, Maleah Joi Moon, who won a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical, as well as a Theatre World Award and Drama Desk Award in 2024, for her work in “Hell’s Kitchen.”

The musical features music and lyrics written by Alicia Keys and a book by Kristoffer Diaz. According to the news release by Playbill, Reid will be featured in the release of the deluxe edition of the production’s Broadway cast album, singing newly recorded tracks with Keys and Durrell “Tank” Babbs.

Reid joined the Broadway company of “Hell’s Kitchen” in Fall 2024 while understudying the lead. She also recently co-starred in ‘Me,’ a live-action family series on Apple TV+.
