On Aug. 7, Patricia “Patty” Clark (AS ’96) and her husband, Ed Clark, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. (pictured left)

Ben Thompson (AS ’04, E ’13) is the assistant superintendent of administration for Frederick County Public Schools in Winchester, Virginia.

On July 25, Jonathan Hugendubler (C’ 14) won the Jeopardy! Season 42 finale, ending Scott Riccardi’s 16-game winning streak.

Sonja Sneddon (E ’14) is the supervisor of professional learning and federal grants for Frederick County Public Schools in Winchester, Virginia.

Nolan Potts (AS, E ’15) led Heritage High School to a baseball state championship and was named Virginia Class 4 Coach of the Year.

On July 28, Connor Bishop (AS ’17) was named head coach of Hartwick College men’s lacrosse team in Oneonta, New York.

Chris Boies (E ’17), Clarke County administrator in Virginia, was awarded a contract extension through December 2028 and earned a Credentialed Manager certification from the International City/County Management Association.

On July 23, Marc Timmons (E ’18) was named director of student activities at John Handley High School in Winchester, Virginia.

On July 3, Audrey Weatherstone (C ’19) released her new children’s book Lady Needed Space with her publishing company, Belle Ise Books of Richmond, Virginia.

Will Westray (C ’19) was cast as Toad in “A Year with Frog and Toad” at Asolo Repertory Theatre in Sarasota, Florida.

Mairead McKibbin (E ’24) received the Marjorie Berkley Award, recognizing her outstanding achievements as a scholar-athlete in field hockey at Shenandoah University.

Grant Disharoon (C ’24) was named among Staunton City Schools’ new administrative hires for the 2025-26 school year.

Colby Martin (B ’23), a right-handed pitching prospect, was acquired by the Miami Marlins from the Toronto Blue Jays and posted a 1.54 ERA with 30 strikeouts in 22 innings across Single A and High A this season.

Henry “Hank” Mullins III (E ’24) is the assistant principal at Central High School in Woodstock, Virginia.

Noah Cornwell (B ’25) was named to the D3Baseball.com All-Region first team for Region 6 after his final season playing baseball at Shenandoah University.

Kali Evonne Haines (ANG) returned to Millbrook Playhouse in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania 14 years after performing in the Grease ensemble, this time starring as Rizzo in a full-circle moment.

Alumni Passing

Roy “Bo” Lewis Callahan (C ’56) of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away on July 20, 2025.

Paul Noble (C ’56) of Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia, passed away on August 19, 2025. He also served as an Associate Professor, Director of Bands and Chair of the Instrumental Music Department at Shenandoah Conservatory.

Louise Virginia Nelson (B ’83) of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on July 12, 2025.

Verne Collins (B ’84) of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on August 4, 2025. He was a member of the faculty for 46 years and served as Dean of the Conservatory. 

James “Jim” Lewis Proffitt (B ’87, ’89) of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on June 8, 2025.

Keyshawn Wilder (ANG), a native of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on August 9, 2025.

Faculty Passing

Nancy Gray Albert of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on August 2, 2025. She taught music education at Shenandoah Conservatory from 1975-1991. (pictured left)

James “Jim” Laster of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on August 8, 2025. He served on the music faculty for 27 years.
