On Nov. 22, 2025, Ben Schuhart (C ’81, ’86) played bassoon in the 14 member chamber orchestra U.S. premiere of “Baruch’s Silence” by Ella Milch-Sheriff at the Maryland Theatre in Hagerstown, Maryland. (pictured right)

Pam Bell (B ’83) recently performed in staged readings of “Sorry, Wrong Number” with Selah Theatre at Handley Regional Library and “84 Charing Cross Road” at Winchester Little Theatre in Winchester, Virginia.

Laura Turek (AS ’02) was promoted to assistant professor of health sciences and program director for the Master of Science in Applied Kinesiology at St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens, Florida. 

On Jan. 12, Corey Boxwell (AS ’10, P ’13) opened an independent pharmacy called Boxwell Pharmacy located in Winchester, Virginia. (pictured right)

Marisol Rodriguez (E ’24), a fourth grade teacher at Garland R. Quarles Elementary School in Winchester, Virginia, led a 12-week program aimed at building vocabulary skills for kindergartners funded by a grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.

On Dec. 16, 2025, Avery Geesaman (B ’25) was announced as the director of esports for the Northwestern Collegiate Esports Program at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa.

On Dec. 19, 2025, Jace Legarde (C ’25) performed in the holiday dinner concert at the Pine County History Museum in Askov, Minnesota.

Jeffrey Sinclair (AS ’25) was mentioned in the River 95.3 podcast titled “Your Path to Affordable Education: Inside Laurel Ridge Community College.”
