Shenandoah Conservatory Awarded Erasmus+ Grant to Support Study Abroad Exchange Opportunities in Spain for Music Students and Faculty

Shenandoah University’s Center for Global Education is thrilled to announce that Shenandoah Conservatory has been awarded an Erasmus+ grant in partnership for the 2026/27 academic year with Real Conservatorio Superior de Música “Victoria Eugenia” in Granada, Spain. Erasmus+ grants are funded by the European Union and aim to support artistic, academic and cultural development in a global context through opportunities for international education exchanges.

As a result of this grant, two undergraduate music students can study abroad at the Granada Conservatory for one semester next year, and two music faculty members can conduct 5-day residencies in Granada for performance, pedagogy and/or scholarly activities. Shenandoah University will also be welcoming students and faculty from the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música “Victoria Eugenia” next year.

Students and faculty who take part in this exchange will receive grant funding to defray the cost of plane tickets, accommodation and meals. Interested students can find more information and an application to study abroad in Granada by exploring the Erasmus Exchange Semester at Granada Conservatory Program Overview online brochure. Faculty can apply for the residencies through the One-Week Music Faculty Residency at the Granada Conservatory online brochure.
