Enterline Honored With Statewide Athletic Training Award

Shenandoah University Alum Named Secondary Athletic Trainer of the Year by the Virginia Athletic Trainers' Association

Mackenzie Enterline holds a plaque for the VATA Secondary Athletic Trainer of the Year award

Mackenzie Enterline ’18, ’19 is the Virginia Athletic Trainers’ Association Secondary Athletic Trainer of the Year. Enterline, who is the athletic trainer at Central High School in Woodstock, Virginia, was recognized for her award during a Shenandoah County School Board meeting in December 2025. The recognition highlights her outstanding service, leadership, and commitment to student‑athlete health and safety across the division.

Enterline’s work has become a cornerstone of the county’s athletic programs, where she is known for her professionalism, compassion, and steady presence on the sidelines. The award reflects not only her technical expertise but also the trust she has built with students, families, coaches, and colleagues.

Her dedication continues to elevate the standard of care for young athletes and strengthens the role of athletic training within the school community. Enterline earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2018 and a Master of Science in Athletic Training in 2019 from Shenandoah University.
