Local Musician & Shenandoah Alumna Lisa Fritsch ’04 Releases New Memoir
For over 25 years, Shenandoah Valley musician and Shenandoah alumna Lisa Fritsch ’04 has shared the gift of music with her community through live performance and piano instruction. But in December 2018, her life transformed in a matter of seconds, setting into motion a powerful journey of healing, reflection, and faith that has now culminated in her debut memoir.
In her newly released book, “In Tune: A Memoir of Faith, Music and Miracles,” Fritsch invites readers into her life story, reflecting on the delicate harmonies between trial, devotion, and divine timing.
On December 9, 2018, after leaving a movie theater with her son, Daniel, Fritsch suffered sudden cardiac arrest in the parking lot. Realizing his mother was completely unresponsive, Daniel acted swiftly, calling 911 and immediately performed CPR, saving her life
Winchester Medical Center honored Daniel’s courage with the American Heart Association Heart Saver Hero Award. Nearly eight years later, Fritsch is sharing the deeper, spiritual side of that life-altering moment.
