Avalon Submission Deadline
Avalon Literary and Arts Magazine is accepting submissions through Sunday, Oct. 4, for its upcoming edition. You can submit poetry, fiction, nonfiction, visual art, photography and other creative works for consideration. Submissions can be made through the Avalon submission form. Join Shenandoah Outdoor and Adventure Recreation (SOAR) for backpacking and wild ponies from 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2 through 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, Mount Roger Recreation Area, VA.
Catholic Sunday Mass & Dinner Fellowship
Goodson Chapel / Recital Hall 1400 L. P. HILL DR., WinchesterYou can attend Catholic Sunday Mass on campus at 5 p.m. every Sunday at Goodson Chapel-Recital Hall. Dinner Fellowship follows immediately after Mass, at around 6 p.m. Confessions are available before Mass at 4:30 p.m. People of all faith backgrounds are welcome. Club Soccer vs Towson University
Shenandoah University’s Club Soccer plays Towson University at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4, at Shentel Stadium, GloFiber Field. This is the club’s first game of the season and a great opportunity to support the team and wrap up Homecoming and Family Weekend. Admission is free. Goodson Chapel / Recital Hall 1400 L. P. HILL DR., WinchesterThe Office of Spiritual Life holds a weekly ecumenical Christian worship service on Sundays from 8-9 p.m. in Goodson Chapel-Recital Hall. All Shenandoah University students, faculty and staff are welcome. The service takes place weekly, except on Sunday, Oct. 18.
