B.A., Political Science (History minor), William Paterson College; M.A., Political Science, University of Delaware; Ph.D., Political Science, University of Delaware.

Fields of Expertise:

Professor Leonard’s primary areas of expertise are: global politics, foreign policy, global governance, human rights/humanitarian law and political philosophy.

Personal Highlights:

Professor Leonard is the proud father of twins–Nicolas and Stefani, and their little brother Mathieu. When he is not teaching or researching, Professor Leonard is usually found at the beach surfing the Jersey shore waves or on a soccer field playing, training teams or just enjoying the beautiful game.

Professional Highlights:

Professor Leonard has published several articles, case studies and two books. The first entitled, The Onset of Global Governance: International Relations Theory and the International Criminal Court. The second entitled, Building Your IR Theory Toolbox: An Introduction to Understanding International Politics. He also publishes and works extensively on the scholarship of teaching.
