Jessica Jones, DHSc, PA-C, CAQ-Psych is a psychiatric Physician Assistant and medical educator with over a decade of clinical experience in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine, caring for patients across the lifespan in diverse practice settings. She earned her Certificate of Added Qualifications in Psychiatry in 2018 and remains actively engaged in clinical practice.

Dr. Jones currently serves as the Director of Didactic Education and Assistant Professor in the Physician Assistant program at the College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Nebraska, where she leads curriculum development, course design, and instructional innovation. She is also faculty in the Doctor of Medical Science program at Shenandoah University, where she teaches Health Equity and supports doctoral-level learners.

Her academic and scholarly work focuses on clinical communication, psychiatric education, and health equity. She has presented regionally and nationally on topics including provider bias, race-related trauma, and mental health disparities. Dr. Jones is an active contributor to the American Academy of Physician Associates, serving as a House of Delegates representative for Nebraska and a member of national diversity initiatives aimed at advancing equity within the PA profession.

In addition to her academic work, Dr. Jones contributes to national education efforts as a Continuing Education Reviewer for the Opioid Response Network. She is also co-founder of a developing psychiatry-focused practice, expanding access to mental health services in her community.

Dr. Jones is passionate about developing future clinicians who are not only clinically competent, but also empathetic, socially aware, and equipped to address the evolving needs of diverse patient populations.

Personal Highlights:

Jessica lives in Omaha, Nebraska with her husband, who is also a psychiatric PA, and their two daughters. She enjoys traveling with the goal of visiting every continent.
