Scholarships & Funding Options
In order to give all students access to study abroad, SU has a home tuition model for all SU partner programs.
Students studying abroad for SU credit are billed the SU comprehensive fee (tuition, room and board, technology fee, IM Learning fee, Student Services fee). SU ensures that tuition, room and board expenses are not charged to the student by the study abroad program. This approach makes the study abroad experience more easily available to all students, regardless of their family’s financial position. Financial aid that would have applied to a semester at home, applies to the study abroad semester.

Study Abroad Scholarships
Further scholarships may be available to help reduce your costs. Each scholarship has its own requirements and deadlines, and it is up to you to do your research and apply directly.

| Oct. | Gates Cambridge Scholarship | Post-Graduate | Scholarships are awarded to outstanding applicants from countries outside the UK to pursue a full-time postgraduate degree in any subject available at the University of Cambridge. |
| Oct. | Mitchell Scholarships | Graduate/Post-Graduate | Up to twelve Mitchell Scholars between the ages of 18 and 30 are chosen annually for one academic year of postgraduate study in any discipline offered by institutions of higher learning in Ireland and Northern Ireland. |

| Jan. | Davis Fellows for Peace | All | Cover 100% of tuition, room, and board for one summer of summer language study from beginner to graduate levels in any of the eleven languages offered at the Middlebury College Language Schools. |

| Jan. | Boren Fellowships | Graduate | Funding opportunities for U.S. graduate students to study less commonly taught languages in world regions critical to U.S. interests, and underrepresented in study abroad. In exchange for funding, Boren Fellows commit to working in the federal government for at least one year after graduation |
