Romine Performs in World Premiere of Work by Meijering in Spain

On Aug. 29, Assistant Dean for Recruitment and Associate Professor of Bassoon Ryan Romine, D.M.A., performed in the world premiere of Chiel Meijering’s monumental “The Reed Which Bends in the Wind” for 12 bassoons and string ensemble. The performance took place at the International Double Reed Society’s 47th annual conference in Granada, Spain, as part of its evening gala concert series. Bassoonists for the event included players from Spain, Canada, Poland and the United States.
