Yancey and Thompson ’09 in Washington Stage Guild’s Production of “Candida”

Costume Designer and Associate Professor of Theatre Cheryl Yancey, M.F.A., is designing the costumes for Washington Stage Guild’s production of “Candida” by George Bernard Shaw. The production runs from Thursday, Sept. 26, through Sunday, Oct. 20.

Emelie Faith Thompson ’09 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre) is the lead in the production. This past summer she played the character “Mother” in “Ragtime” for Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre. Her husband in real life (Nathan Whitmer) is playing her husband in the play (Rev. Morell).
