Oneika Phillips ’00 Returns to Broadway in ‘1776’

Rachel Oneika Phillips ’00 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, Bachelor of Business Administration in Management) returns to Broadway in the role of Joseph Hewes for a much-anticipated production of “1776: The Musical.” This new production, under the direction of Jeffrey Page and Diane Paulus, will showcase a brilliant cast that reflects multiple representations of race, gender and ethnicity. “1776” will open in Boston on Tuesday, May 17, at Harvard’s American Repertory Theater (ART), where it will play through Sunday, July 24. Following its run at ART, the show will return to New York City for a run at Roundabout Theatre Company. A national tour is scheduled to begin in February 2023.
