Students Learn about Audio Archiving, Preservation and Restoration

John Krivit of Facebook’s “Hey Audio Student” and Director of Audio Archiving at Library of Congress (LOC) Rob Friedrich talked to conservatory students about the Audio Engineering Society (AES) Conference on Audio Archiving, Preservation and Restoration at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7, in the Ruebush Hall Recording Studio.

The Audio Archiving, Preservation and Restoration conference will be held at the U.S. Library of Congress (LOC) National Audiovisual Conservation Center located in Culpeper, Virginia, from Thursday, June 1, through Saturday, June 3, 2023. The conference is a great place to meet industry leaders, network and learn.

Audio archiving, preservation and restoration is an important field of work in the audio industry, preserving music for future generations. There are jobs and opportunities within the United States government that are available.
