Musical Theatre Lightning Strikes Twice

Program’s graduating class has 100% representation – again

For the second consecutive year, the entire graduating class of Shenandoah University’s Bachelor of Fine Arts program in musical theatre has representation with New York talent agents and managers. 

It’s highly unusual for back-to-back classes to receive 100% representation, said Shenandoah Conservatory Director of Musical Theatre, Associate Professor of Theatre and Charles B. Levitin Chair in Musical Theatre Kevin Covert, B.F.A., himself a Broadway veteran. “I attribute it to the amazing musical theatre faculty we have and their connections in the industry, and the hard work and dedication of our MT students.” 

Representation is essential in the musical theatre world, and will help Shenandoah’s graduates be seen by casting directors, directors, choreographers and music directors. 

The accomplishment also increases the visibility of Shenandoah, Covert said, and solidifies it as a top-tier, destination school for musical theatre training.
