Shenandoah University Esports has announced an official partnership with Gen.G Esports, offering educational opportunities and work experience to students looking to enter the industry.

This partnership will allow for our students to gain access to real-world industry professionals to seek advice, experiential learning opportunities, and support as they transition from their educational journey to careers. I am most excited for our students to engage in a Global Experiential Learning Trip to South Korea in which students will partner with industry mentors on a real-world project at Gen.G’s headquarters.”

Alyssa Duran, esports director at Shenandoah University

Gen.G has been an active organization in the scholastic esports industry. Previously, Shenandoah partnered with Gen.G during events such as Gen.G’s Practicum Abroad program, ChallengHER Summit, Gaming Leaders of Tomorrow, and various Campus Takeover events. The new partnership aims to enhance students’ experiences with additional professional development opportunities, advance academic offerings through knowledge and resource sharing, and provide global travel opportunities through Global Experiential Learning (GEL) trips.

Gen.G’s core mission is to help fans and athletes use the power of gaming and esports to get ahead in and beyond the competition. With an emphasis on education and innovative partnerships, Gen.G is a commercial and thought leader, building a global, inclusive and cross-cultural future for gaming.
