Makowiecki ’26 Performs at Jazz Aspen Snowmass This Summer

Tyler Makowiecki ’26 (Bachelor of Music in Jazz & Commercial Music) will perform this summer at the prestigious Jazz Aspen Snowmass Academy in Colorado following an accomplished undergraduate career at Shenandoah Conservatory.

Makowiecki graduated after completing his degree in just three years while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. During his time at Shenandoah, he performed more than 50 times on and off campus with ensembles including the Studio Big Band, Commercial Rock Ensemble, Little Big Band, Brass Quintet and pit orchestras for multiple stage productions. He also represented Shenandoah Conservatory on international tours to Peru, Spain, Portugal and London.

In addition to his summer performances at Jazz Aspen Snowmass, Makowiecki will perform in Shenandoah’s summer pit orchestra before beginning graduate studies at the University of Miami this fall, where he will serve as a teaching assistant.
