Soprano MiKayla Lynn Hatfield ’22, ’26 (Master of Music in Performance, Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance) will make her Lyric Opera of Chicago debut in Rhiannon Giddens and Michael Abels’ Pulitzer Prize-winning opera “Omar.” Hatfield will perform the roles of Woman #4 and Tess in the production.

Following “Omar,” Hatfield will continue performing with Lyric Opera of Chicago as a member of the chorus for “Wagner: Myth & Music,” a program exploring the music and dramatic legacy of composer Richard Wagner.
