Pianist Ido Shalom ’28 (Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance) is serving as a preliminary round juror for the inaugural 2026 Potomac International Piano Competition. 

Open to pianists ages 4 to 18 from around the world, the fully online competition features preliminary and final rounds across multiple age divisions. As a juror, Shalom will evaluate video performances and provide written feedback to support participants’ artistic and musical development. Outstanding finalists may also be considered for an invitation to perform as part of the 2027 Washington International Young Artists Music Series in Washington, D.C.

“I am honored to join the jury for this year’s Potomac International Piano Competition,” said Shalom. “It is always a privilege to connect with the next generation of pianists globally, evaluate their work and represent our institution on an international artistic platform.”

Shalom was named a Washington International Young Artists Music Series (WIYAMS) artist following his appearance in the 2026 series.
