Educational History:

B.S. Nursing (1967) and Master of Nursing (1972) from the University of Florida; Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Psychopharmacology from the University of Nebraska (1989); and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Russell Sage College (1995).

Fields of Expertise:

Specialty areas include pharmacology, adult and geriatric psychiatric mental health theory and practice, and substance abuse treatment and prevention.

Personal Highlights:

Married since 1967. Taught nursing at 6 schools since 1972 and psychiatric therapist since 1986. Authored 40 professional and research papers. Loves traveling with husband and gardening.

Professional Highlights:

Stimulated creation and served on first Expert Panel for the American Nurses Credentialing Center Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner exams (1998-2006).

Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) National nursing society for leadership, research and scholarship.
