Professional Highlights

Dr. Holove is an OTR with a certification in early intervention and clinical experience across both pediatric and adult based settings. In community pediatric occupational therapy, Dr. Holove focused on parent/caregiver education, mentoring, and coaching while addressing family goals. In adult inpatient rehab, Dr. Holove utilized therapeutic-use-of-self to address client goals and deficits across various diagnoses and conditions. Her teaching and scholarly interest focus on occupational performance across the lifespan, culturally responsive practice, and bridging theory to clinical application in OT education with an interest in lactation and the mother-infant connection and their impact on early occupational development and participation. Her previous experience and educational background are rooted in social work driving her towards advocacy and occupational justice for populations, groups, and individuals.

Personal Highlights

Dr. Holove grew up in Costa Rica and has had diverse cultural experiences abroad, including time spent in Morocco and Ecuador. She is originally from New Jersey and has lived across the United States throughout her adult life. She currently resides in Virginia with her family. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys playing video games, spending time with her family, and relaxing with simple comforts (popcorn!) She also has a fond appreciation for the color orange and her favorite holiday is Halloween.
