Teaching American History throughout the long period during which the Cold War ended and a new world order has been constantly evolving. Publishing books and articles on regional and national history. A Fulbright fellowship for teaching in Germany.
Personal Quote:One of the greatest pleasures I derive from teaching at Shenandoah University is the opportunity to direct the Community History Project of the university and through it introduce students to the excitement and satisfaction of historical research. The Project brings together students, scholars, and citizens who share interests in American history and the history of the Shenandoah Valley.
Personal Highlights:
Travel to Russia, Ireland, Labrador, Ghana, Germany, or anywhere else in the world I can go. The personal rewards of a life in teaching and scholarship.
