I am a native of Frederick, MD and now reside in the Winchester area with my husband Michael and our two cats. I earned my B.A. in History from West Virginia University in 2012 and my M.A. in Communication Studies from Marshall University in 2017.
SU is special to me because no one gets lost in the community. Coming from a large University setting, it is refreshing to be in a campus setting where each student is valued and relationships are fostered not only between students, but between students and all members of the SU community.
From the first time I stepped on campus, I was met with warmth and kindness. International students can expect no less. SU is a welcoming and all-inclusive campus rich with diversity. Each student is a valued part of the SU family.
My advice to an International student when deciding where to attend college would be to visit the campus. This allows a student to best understand what the culture of the college is and how they will fit into this culture.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my husband. In 2017, we travelled to 4 places including Cuba. I also enjoy cooking and spending time with family and friends.
