Omnic.AI Brings AI Insights to Shenandoah Esports Play

Partnership Reflects Shenandoah’s Place at the Forefront of Collegiate Esports

Artificial intelligence is helping Shenandoah Esports players improve their game.

Shenandoah Esports has entered into a partnership with esports player performance data and analytics company Omnic.AI

According to Esports Program Director Alyssa Duran, Omnic.AI will provide Shenandoah with access to its AI and analytics software for the university’s Rocket League and Overwatch teams. The software will help both coaches and players identify areas for improvement in their gameplay.

“The implementation of Omnic.AI’s software will provide our coaches access to a powerful tool that will allow them to generate statistics and insight into our teams’ gameplay. My hope is that this tool and collaboration with Omnic.AI will allow our teams to streamline their review processes and lead them to new heights in their competitive results,” Duran said.

“The partnership between Shenandoah University Esports and Omnic.AI is a fantastic step in supporting gamers and student-athlete development at the collegiate level,” said Omnic.AI CEO Shaun Meredith. “Omnic’s innovative technology is perfectly paired with Shenandoah to empower them to refine their skills and reach new heights. We at Omnic.AI can’t wait to see how many AI-powered W’s the Hornets will bring home this year!”

Shenandoah Esports varsity teams are part of a larger esports presence at Shenandoah University, which includes one of the nation’s first academic esports programs. Shenandoah offers Bachelor of Science degrees in esports management and esports media and communication, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration with an esports concentration, a Master of Business Administration with an esports emphasis, and a variety of esports certificates at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
