Public Safety Programs

Your Safety Starts Here

Security is always looking for new ways to increase their effectiveness on campus.

They are constantly on alert to find ways to serve the Shenandoah University students better. These are just a few of the programs that are assisting the security staff in protecting all students and staff.

Emergency Phones

On Shenandoah's campus there are blue emergency telephones. These telephones are strategically placed around campus to provide students who feel they are in danger a method to quickly contact security. When activated these phones dial security's cell phone number and also activate a bright blue rotating light on the top of the pole.

Safe Walk Program

This new program offers all residents an escort service at any time they feel they need it. All students have to do is call the Safe Walk cell phone number and a security officer will come to his/her location and provide him/her with an escort. We feel that your feelings of safety are just as important as your actual safety.
