Arts, Creativity, and Expression

Power Your Personal and Professional Life Through Creative Practice

In Shenandoah’s minor in Arts, Creativity and Expression, you’ll cultivate your creative thinking and making practices through interdisciplinary exploration and collaborative problem-solving with other students from diverse arts and academic backgrounds. You’ll develop robust creative practices as you delve into artistic expression, digital media, and cross-disciplinary projects and create new work.

The Arts, Creativity, and Expression minor introduces multidisciplinary ways of working to artists and creative thinkers. As a student in this program, you’ll work on collaborative, entrepreneurial, and interdisciplinary projects to stretch, strengthen, and solidify your creative ideas.

You’ll learn how to leverage your diverse skills and experiences to create unique value and opportunities. The program enables you to build a portfolio career that reflects your full range of interests and talents, rather than being confined to a single role or field. This approach not only enhances personal fulfillment but also opens up new career paths and potential for growth and innovation. Additionally, being a creative can improve hiring potential by showcasing a broad skill set that is in demand across various industries.
