Look What’s Happening at Our Fairfax Location

Construction is underway to enhance, expand ICPH buildings

Renovations continue at the Inova Center for Personalized Health, or ICPH, in Fairfax.

icphICPH provides a Northern Virginia/Washington, D.C.-metro area location for Shenandoah’s programs in:

The facility is ideally located in close proximity to Inova Health Care System’s Fairfax Hospital, and is perfect for students who prefer an urban setting.

The main entrance at ICPH, Tower 4, has been under construction since February 2019 and is expected to be completed in Spring 2022. For its exterior, new curtain wall window systems have been added to the tower and the pedestrian bridge. Once the interior of Tower 4 is complete, students will be able to relax and eat outside on the back patio and in a new seating area on the second-floor lobby. Inova is also adding a small coffee shop with grab-and-go items on the second floor of the tower.

icphThe adjacent Building C has also been undergoing renovations, with construction converting the former office building into a core and shell and awaiting future tenants on the second through ninth floors. Anticipated completion is Spring 2022.

The forthcoming Park3 Infrastructure project will provide a communal outdoor space between Buildings C and D and the conference center along the south side of the ICPH campus. This will give students the opportunity to walk outside to get to the fitness facility rather than the underground tunnel. This project will be completed in Summer 2022.

Currently, the conference center building’s Tower 8 is under construction to receive the same new curtain wall window panels as Tower 4. Interior construction of the first- and second-floor lobbies will begin in May 2021 and is expected to be completed in November 2021. Students are still able to access the fitness facility located in the conference center via the underground tunnel. The center’s cafeteria is currently being used as a vaccination clinic. In the interim, breakfast and lunch can be purchased at the Inova Schar Cancer Institute’s Café (located two buildings down from the classrooms).
