Eda Wu ’24 currently serves as a third party data exchange analyst at Shenandoah University, a role she stepped into in 2023 while completing her Master of Business Administration (MBA). Leveraging her MBA alongside graduate certificates in Business Analytics and Cybersecurity Management, Wu navigates competing interdepartmental priorities while upholding strict data implementation guidelines. Parallel to her civilian career, she is a commissioned officer in the Coast Guard Reserve, a journey she began in 2010 to expand her skill set and live with intentionality. In her military service, Wu focuses on incident management, regularly blending her business acumen with response operations and finding deep fulfillment in advocating, training, and supporting service members.
Prior to her current role, Wu built a strong foundation through her dual civilian and military paths, constantly leveraging the interplay between both sectors. At Shenandoah, where she earned her MBA in 2024, Wu was deeply engaged in campus life, serving as the vice president and public relations officer for Shenandoah Veterans and Supporters. She credits SU’s tight-knit community, particularly her fellow student veterans, with providing crucial support and inspiration when she returned from a military mobilization in early 2023. Her dedication to excellence and advocacy earned her recognition as a 2024 Veteran Champion of the Year in Higher Education, alongside earning her Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 4 Foundations certification.
Wu was inspired to join the alumni board by fellow member Nate Copeland ’85, a United States Air Force veteran. As a new board member, Wu is driven by a desire to keep Shenandoah’s veteran community connected from their student days through their alumni journeys.
Outside of her professional and board commitments, Wu is actively involved in the local community alongside her husband, Sonny. Their two daughters, Adeline and Evelyn, are frequent participants in music and dance lessons through the Shenandoah Conservatory Arts Academy (SCAA).
