Dear Alumni and Friends,
Happy 2019! I hope you were able to cherish and make memories with loved ones during the holiday season. It’s hard to believe the spring semester will begin next week, as winter is in full swing on main campus with six inches of snow blanketing Winchester this past weekend. I’ve seen numerous photos of snow-covered Shenandoah on Instagram and Facebook. What absolutely beautiful scenery!
As the semester gets under way, the Office of Alumni Affairs will be gearing up with some new initiatives. As an alumni, you should have received an email last week from Emily Burner, executive director of alumni affairs. This email contains a link for you to update your contact information. Please take the time to complete the form, even if your information is current. You will receive an exclusive (and FREE!) Shenandoah University Alumni magnet just for completing the update.
Also, the Office of Alumni Affairs and the Office of Career Services will host their second Alumni Networking Reception at 5 p.m. on Jan. 30, at The Greene Turtle in Winchester. The networking reception is open to current senior students, Shenandoah faculty and staff, and Shenandoah alumni. This was a wildly successful event at the beginning of the 2018 fall semester. I look forward to seeing the event grow at the end of this month. Please join me for some appetizers, drinks and door prizes, while mingling with fellow alumni. I look forward to seeing you there and starting off 2019 with my Shenandoah community! To register, visit www.su.edu/networking.
