Dear Alumni and Friends,
Well, it seems as though winter weather is upon us yet again in the Winchester area. And, if there is one upside to the cold, snowy, and wet weather, it’s that I know I can count on the university’s Instagram account to post some wonderful photos of the campus covered in snow.
So, here’s to hoping for a few more snow days before the spring weather finally joins us. I’m dreaming of warmer weather and springtime blooms.
I’d like to send out a huge thank you to all of the alumni who took the time to fill out an alumni information update form with their most up-to-date information for the Office of Alumni Affairs through its Alumni Information Campaign. I have personally seen a few new, one-of-a-kind, Shenandoah University Alumni car magnets on the road in the past few weeks. I hope to see more in the coming months as well.
On Jan. 30, the Office of Alumni Affairs and Career Services hosted yet another successful Alumni Networking Reception at the Greene Turtle in Winchester. What a wonderful way to meet current students and provide opportunities and open doors for their future, while getting together with fellow alumni. The food and drinks can’t be beat either! I was so happy that President Tracy Fitzsimmons, and many faculty and staff members were able to join us as well. Be on the lookout for an email for the next Alumni Networking Reception in Winchester in April. There will also be a Northern Virginia Alumni Networking Reception held on Wednesday, May 22.
In the not-so-distant future, we will be hosting the third annual Day of Giving from noon on Thursday, April 11, to noon on Friday, April 12. Mark your calendars and join me in supporting our university!
