Greetings to all my fellow alumni!
I will soon receive the gavel of leadership from outgoing Shenandoah University Alumni Association President Susan Wyatt Helsley ’76, ’85. She has served our Alumni Association with integrity and energy, and I am proud to carry on this leadership. Susan has participated in countless university activities, reminisced with classmates and encouraged their return to campus for alumni events, and continues to provide accolades to potential students about the quality education offered at Shenandoah University. Please take a moment to send her a note of gratitude for her commitment to our university. Join us during our in-person Homecoming Weekend activities to congratulate Susan!
I am squeezing out every moment of summer, so there is no pumpkin spice in my hot tea yet, but I am eager to participate in our events and cheer on our fall sport athletes. Shenandoah has implemented a series of COVID-19 requirements for students, athletes, and attendees to be on campus. However, please stay vigilant in your own decisions to help keep our campus community healthy.
Make plans to visit your alma mater and see the great things that are happening on our main campus and in the greater communities where Shenandoah is located. Read our alumni newsletter each month to catch up on all the latest news – from a long-term partnership with the City of Winchester to assume the management of four baseball and softball fields in Jim Barnett Park and an investment in the improvements, to the many concerts offered by the conservatory – Shenandoah is making a difference!
Please contact me (anne.lewis65@gmail.com or 540-476-1905) if your Alumni Association can be of assistance to you. I would love to hear from our alumni and help provide feedback to the association or the Shenandoah University Board of Trustees.
Warm regards,
Anne Lewis
