The School of Business hosted its 2023 MBA Hooding and Awards Ceremony on Friday, May 19, at 2 p.m. in Halpin-Harrison Hall’s Stimpson Auditorium. The event honored MBA graduates from the August 2022, December 2002, and May 2023 cohorts, including four dual-degree Pharm.D./MBA graduates from the Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy along with several undergraduate award recipients. In addition to earning MBA degrees, 14 individuals earned graduate certificates in business analytics, cybersecurity management, digital marketing, esports management, and MBA business essentials.
Two SU Global MBA students – Charlie Tang and Wenjie Chen – traveled from Shanghai and Shenzhen, China, to attend the hooding and commencement events. They were honored by Founder and Head of SU Global MBA and Associate Dean Yvonne Chen, Ph.D., along with global staff and students attending the hooding ceremony live. According to Dr. Chen, SU Global has recognized and honored the accomplishments of 100 graduates, to date.

James R. & Mary B. Wilkins Award: Crismeli Sandoval ’23 BBA/concentration in accounting
Dean’s Award-Undergraduate Student: Mykiah Bonhom ’23 BBA/concentration in sport management
Dean’s Award-Graduate Student: Haden Metzler ’21 BBA/concentration in healthcare management, ’23 MBA/concentration in cybersecurity and a certificate in business analytics
Herbert L. Myers Award: Michael Morgan ’18 BBA/concentration in marketing and minor in economics; ’23 MBA/concentration in esports management
Distinguished Best For Business Award: Bradley Blanchard ’23 MBA
Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award: Conor Bailey ’23 BBA/concentration in marketing John D. Scholl Award: Jodi Breeding ’23 MBA
The ceremony was moderated by Associate Dean and Associate Professor of Management Bernadine Dykes, Ph.D., and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs & Undergraduate Curriculum & Associate Professor of Information Systems and Technology Michael Magro, Ph.D., with special guest speakers Board of Trustees Member Steven Frederickson and Provost Cameron McCoy, Ph.D.
