Business Analytics Individual Classes Track
Would you like to try a Business Analytics class at Shenandoah? Register now as a visiting student to sample a class. These sequential, eight-week courses (3 sem hr each), are offered in a hybrid format that allows students to attend classes face-to-face in the classroom or synchronously via Zoom.

QM 520 Descriptive Analytics for Business
- Take QM 504 – Must be completed prior to taking this course.
- This course introduces commonly used code-based business analytics software packages. The covered topics include descriptive analytics, data visualization and data management and organization using these business analytics software packages. The focus will be on analyzing large-scale realistic data.

QM 521 Predictive Analytics for Business
- Take QM 520 – Must be completed prior to taking this course.
- This course focuses on data mining and commonly used predictive analytics tools such as classification, clustering and regression methods. The students will apply these techniques using code-based business analytics software for analysis of large-scale data that will be used in business decision-making.

QM 522 Prescriptive Analytics for Business | Course Registration Currently Unavailable
- Take QM 520 – Must be completed prior to taking this course.
- This course focuses on modeling large-scale real-life deterministic and stochastic optimization problems mathematically, solving them using code-based business analytics software and analyzing uncertainty in decision modeling.

QM 523 Business Analytics Capstone
- Take QM 521 and QM 522 – Must be completed prior to taking this course.
- This course focuses on applications of business analytics skills on large-scale real-life problems. The students will work on a project and analyze a given data set to be able to provide solutions to the problems that are present within a selected organization.

Earn a Business Analytics Graduate Certificate to gain the skills to analyze large-scale data. You can complete this certificate in as little as 8 months! The four sequential, eight-week courses blend class meetings and asynchronous assignments.

The capstone project will analyze data to provide solutions to the problems that are present within a selected organization. This may include collaboration with industry and/or local nonprofit organizations. Currently employed students can also work on a problem relevant to their position. Credits: 3

MBA + Business Analytics Concentration Track
Become a business leader with a business analytics focus. Earn your Shenandoah MBA with a Business Analytics Concentration to advance in your analytics career or stand out as a analytics job applicant. Complete the same amount of coursework as Shenandoah’s regular MBA program and graduate at the same time.
