University Inn is a sophomore residence hall that is a former hotel. Shenandoah acquired the building in 1999. The hallways and lounges were renovated in 2014 and 2015, and the rooms were renovated in 2017. It has double-occupancy rooms, each with a private bathroom. University Inn gives sophomores a little bit more independence while still being conveniently located on main campus.

- University Inn has 4 floors with an elevator
- The rooms are approximately 22 feet long by 13 feet wide by 8 feet high
- The beds are twin extra long and can be adjusted to 3 different heights (1 foot 8 inches -3 feet 3 inches)
- Each double occupancy room has a private bathroom
- Students provide their own shower curtain, shower caddy and bathroom rugs
- Each student is given a bed, a dresser, a wardrobe, a desk and a desk chair
- All rooms have vinyl plank flooring
- All rooms have individually controlled heat and air conditioning units
- All rooms have wireless internet
- The laundry room is located on the first floor  (the cost is .25 cents to wash and  .25 cents to dry)
- Students must swipe their SU ID card on the exterior doors to enter the building
- Only residents of UI have swipe access on their ID card
- 7 Resident Assistants (RAs) live in the building
