Before packing your car to move into your new room, here is a list of items current Shenandoah students suggest you bring with you. Not all of the items listed below are required, but they are recommended to make your new room feel more like home. We encourage you to talk to your roommate before purchasing larger items.

For Sleeping
- twin extra long sheet set

- extra blankets
- bed risers (without built-in electrical outlets)
- headphones/ear plugs
For Eating
- mini fridge (one 3.1 cubic feet or smaller per room)
- microwave oven (one 1000 watts or smaller per room)
- small coffee maker (without hotplate)
- small blender
- a few forks, spoons, & butter knives
- reusable plates, bowls, cups, & mugs
- reusable water bottle
For Grooming
- bath towels & wash cloths

What to leave at home:
- Unapproved animals
- Any appliance with an open heating element such as:
- Crock pots, hot plates, toasters, toaster ovens, rice cookers, griddles, air fryers, etc.
- Candles and incense
- Extension cords without an on-off switch
- Halogen lamps
- Power tools, saws, large moving blades, etc.
- Air conditioners and space heaters
- Knives with a blade longer than 4 inches
- Items that could be considered a weapon
- Orbeez guns or similar launchers
